The Beginning in Singapore

Q：What kind of role did your company aim to fulfill when you started your journey in Singapore?

Our history in Singapore dates back to 1973, when we established Nippon Express Singapore as the NX Group’s second overseas subsidiary. For over fifty years, we have proudly supported Japanese enterprises and the local community with dependable, high-quality logistics solutions. As the region evolved, so did our mission. We marked a pivotal milestone in 2013 by establishing our regional headquarters for South Asia and Oceania here. This strategic move integrated our regional management functions, transforming our Singapore office into a dynamic launchpad capable of overseeing a vast, interconnected network extending from ASEAN to Australia and India.

Guided by our core corporate philosophy—to be a driving force for social development—we are constantly innovating to deliver fresh value through the power of logistics. We take immense pride in being a deeply trusted partner within Singapore and across the wider region.

In today’s fast-moving market, our daily focus is ensuring our clients’ supply chains remain resilient and seamless from end to end. By taking the meticulous, high-quality service standards we perfected while meeting the exacting demands of Japanese corporations and scaling them across Asia, we are steadily realizing our goal: becoming a logistics company with a strong presence in the global market.

The Road Ahead

Q：How do you envision growing alongside Singapore, and in what ways do you hope to keep contributing to the nation?

Singapore’s position as a global logistics capital is poised to reach even greater heights, catalyzed by landmark infrastructure expansions at its ports and airports, alongside the development of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ). With Singapore serving as our primary anchor, we look forward to offering an even wider, more sophisticated spectrum of supply chain solutions. Looking ahead to the next frontier of growth, we recently launched our Indian Ocean Rim Strategy Office right here in the city. As the global market shifts, we are excited to keep evolving hand-in-hand with Singapore, utilizing its unique strengths as a world-class global logistics control tower.
