Q：What was your first impression/shock when you arrived in Singapore? Was there a defining moment through your work where you started to see Singapore not just as a place, but as “your own story”?

The defining moment came in 2019, when the cityscape of Singapore was projected during the end credits of a detective anime movie. The instant I saw that scenery unfold on the screen, a powerful desire surged within me to protect Japanese residents living in Singapore through the framework of law, and I began to view Singapore as the place of my true mission. This very moment stands as the ultimate origin of my current activities.

Q：What is your ultimate focus or unique strength in your current activities? What are the core values and passion driving that dedication?

My guiding philosophy is to never leave an anxious client behind in a foreign country, and walk with them every step of the way. Serving as the only Japanese Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore, I offer seamless, full-spectrum legal solutions entirely in Japanese. Whether handling complex corporate restructuring and cross-border disputes, or sensitive criminal defense and family law matters, I bridge the gap between local regulations and my clients’ peace of mind. To me, the law is not just paperwork—it is a shield for the vulnerable and a catalyst for those taking new risks. Cross-border struggles are inherently isolating for clients, which is why I combine rigorous legal mastery with a personal human touch.

Q：How do you personally wish to contribute to and shape the relationship between Singapore and Japan moving forward?

Looking ahead, my vision extends far beyond resolving isolated cases. I aspire to establish a foundational legal infrastructure that offers Japanese individuals and enterprises an absolute peace of mind from the very moment they arrive in Singapore. By managing the full spectrum of local challenges entirely in Japanese—from market entry and visa processing to corporate operations, disputes, and sensitive criminal or family matters—our firm serves as a vital anchor, connecting clients with the right specialists. Through this practice, I aim to alleviate the anxieties of cross-border challenges, fostering deeper trust and a seamless exchange between Japan and Singapore. Further more, I hope to shape an environment where the next generation can venture overseas without hesitation, challenging global opportunities.
