Establishing Our Singapore Branch in 2012
Q：What kind of role did your company aim to fulfill when you started your journey in Singapore?
ILYA Corporation was established in 1985 as a subsidiary of Kajima Corporation, specializing in interior design and construction. Throughout our 40-year history, we have continuously evolved to meet the needs of clients in overseas countries.
In 2012, we established our Singapore Branch with a clear mission: to deliver the same service as our head office. We opened the branch to provide a wide-ranging, one-stop service tailored to customer needs—spanning from interior design and construction to furniture procurement, reinstatement works, and relocation.

Q：What core beliefs, commitments, and passions do you value most in your daily operations?
As a professional collective specializing in interior spaces, we possess extensive experience and a proven track record in properties requiring high quality, particularly hotels and offices. Guided by our corporate philosophy, “Always think from the client’s perspective and deliver the highest quality,” we deliver optimal “Total Design Solutions” through a wide range of interior services—including interior design, construction, and the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and artwork—aiming to contribute to the improvement of various aspects of social life.
The Road Ahead
Q：How do you envision growing alongside Singapore, and in what ways do you hope to keep contributing to the nation?
Across Singapore and the Southeast Asian region, we deliver professional services not only across various sectors—including offices, residences, hotels, commercial facilities, production facilities, and medical facilities—but also in collaboration with specialized teams at our Tokyo headquarters and Kajima Corporation’s design, construction, development, and technical research divisions.
Furthermore, at “The GEAR”—the Kajima Group’s new building in Singapore—we conduct future-oriented research into the field of architectural interiors based on data from various verifications, working as the entire Kajima Group to contribute to the development of construction in Singapore.

Q：What elements of Singapore’s culture or urban lifestyle do you find truly wonderful and inspiring?
As someone who shares the same age as Singapore, I feel a close connection to this nation. Based in Singapore, we are profoundly inspired by the driving force that has transformed this country over the past 60 years.
With our business experience in multiple countries, we find Singapore to be exceptionally unique. Having met various people here, we are constantly exploring how we can contribute as a company.

Hiroaki FUKUI

After graduating from a university in Japan, he moved to the United States to study architecture and interior design at an American university. Upon returning to Japan, he joined the Architectural Design Division of Kajima Corporation. Following successful international assignments in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia, he transitioned to his current leadership post in Singapore.
