Launching the Singapore Office: Built from the ground up

Q：How has the Singapore office grown?

Following the establishment of the company in October 2022, I moved to Singapore in May 2023 as one of the members launching our Singapore office. We started in a small, windowless office and gradually increased our staff, expanding to nine members today. Most of our local employees had no prior experience working at Japanese companies, so we started by helping them gradually understand the differences in work styles and cultures. It was also my first time stationed overseas and setting up an office. With so much I didn’t know, it was a first year of continuous trial and error, just sprinting forward with everything I had.

A Diverse and Dynamic Local Team

Q：What unique personalities make up your team, and how would you describe the day-to-day dynamic of your workplace?

Many of our local staff came from similar industries, bringing together highly unique members with expertise in fields such as marketing, community, and partnerships. Each shines in their own area of expertise as a local expert, working hard every day as “One Team” to achieve our goals.

The team is characterized by its powerful drive to always keep organizational growth and problem-solving in mind while continuing to take on new initiatives. As a member of such a team, I am grateful for the environment where I can absorb so much and grow, and I always approach my work with a strong awareness of contributing to the team through what only I can do.

Bringing “Captivating Experiences” to the People of Southeast Asia

Q：What is your vision for the future growth and evolution of your organization and team?

Our mission is to deliver “Captivating Experiences” to as many people in Southeast Asia as possible through SEGA and ATLUS IPs and titles. To achieve this, I want us to be an organization that can always keep challenging new things. Although there will be various challenges in the process, such as balancing with the brand image, I am confident that there are still many initiatives and business areas that only the Singapore office can realize, because we have the mindset that “we cannot grow if we just keep doing the same things as before.” We hope to continue growing as a team while receiving support from SEGA and ATLUS fans across Southeast Asia.

What I Love About Singapore!

Q：What elements of Singapore’s culture or urban lifestyle do you find truly wonderful and inspiring?

I find it beautiful how people live their lives accepting the coexistence of so many cultures as a matter of course. It is fascinating to feel the diversity of a multi-ethnic nation in various aspects, such as the languages, food, and architecture.
